Third Party Panel Privacy Notice

1. When This Notice Applies
This Notice applies if you are an individual (“Panelist”) sourced through one of our third-party panel partners (“Panel Providers”) to complete a survey for a SegmentOS customer (“Creator”). When you complete the survey, the Creator is the controller of your response data and SegmentOS is the processor acting on the Creator’s behalf. Your Panel Provider controls your panel account and has its own privacy notice, which you should also read.
2. Why You Received a SegmentOS Survey
You likely signed up with a Panel Provider to take surveys in exchange for an incentive. We work with Panel Providers to match relevant Panelists to Creators’ surveys. We generally do not receive your name or contact details from the Panel Provider; they deliver the Creator’s survey to you.
3. Personal Data We Process
• Profile/targeting attributes — the characteristics a Creator is targeting (e.g., age band, gender, location, role). When you take a survey, we know you match that profile.
• Response data — your answers, owned by the Creator. Although we do not seek to identify you, free-text answers could, in combination with other data, identify you; please avoid including identifying details.
• Technical & quality-control data — IP address, device/browser type, a device fingerprint, and completion-time signals used to ensure the survey works and to prevent duplicate, fraudulent, or inattentive submissions (e.g., duplicate prevention and speeding detection).
4. How and Why We Use Your Data
• To deliver your responses to the Creator in their results dashboard.
• To enforce one-response-per-person (unless the Creator allows multiple responses) and to detect fraud and abuse.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Services.
• To analyze aggregated, de-identified data and improve the Services. AI/machine learning may be applied to aggregated, de-identified responses; this analysis does not contain your personal data, and [CONFIRM] we instruct our providers not to use it to train third-party models.
5. How We Share Your Data
• With the Creator — your responses go to the Creator who commissioned the survey. Creators are prohibited from requesting your name or contact information; if a survey asks for this, please contact us.
• Within the SegmentOS group and with sub-processors — to operate and improve the Services, under appropriate safeguards.
• De-identified/aggregated — we may publish aggregated research insights that never contain your personal data.
6. International Transfers
Where your data is transferred across borders (including to Mexico, where SegmentOS is established), we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Retention
We retain response data for the Creator as described in our Privacy Policy, and quality-control/technical data only as long as needed for fraud prevention and integrity.
8. Your Rights
Because the Creator controls your response data, contact the Creator to access, correct, or delete it. Because the Panel Provider controls your panel account, contact them about account data. If you cannot reach the Creator, contact us and we will help route your request.
9. Minors
The Services are not intended for, and may not be used by, minors (individuals under 16, or a higher age where local law requires). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Notice
We may update this Notice. Material changes will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
