Cookies Notice

1. What Is a Cookie?

Cookies are small data files stored on the device you use to access the SegmentOS websites (the “Sites”) or Services. We use “cookies” as a catch-all for cookies and similar technologies such as pixels, web beacons, tags, and local storage. This Notice explains the types and purposes of cookies we use.

2. Why We Use Cookies

•       Security — to authenticate you, confirm login status, and protect your account.

•       Ease of use — to remember preferences such as “Remember me” and default language.

•       Improvement & analytics — to measure visits, referral data, and which features are used, so we can improve.

•       Advertising measurement — to deliver and measure marketing for our Services on third-party sites.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

•       Required (essential) — necessary for the Sites and Services to work and stay secure (e.g., login authentication, survey delivery). You cannot opt out of these.

•       Functional — remember choices and preferences and help us diagnose issues.

•       Analytics/Performance — help us understand usage (e.g., Microsoft Clarity behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay; Google Tag Manager).

•       Advertising — measure and tailor our marketing (e.g., Microsoft Advertising). We do not use advertising cookies in the respondent survey-taking experience.

4. Cookie Inventory

Representative cookies/technologies (provider — category — purpose; to be confirmed against the live site):

•       SegmentOS (first-party) — Required / Functional — authentication, session, preferences, language.

•       Stripe — Required — payment processing and fraud prevention.

•       Google Tag Manager — Functional / Analytics — tag deployment and measurement.

•       Microsoft Clarity — Analytics — heatmaps, behavioral metrics, session replay.

•       Microsoft Advertising — Advertising — ad measurement and marketing (website only).

5. Managing Your Cookies & Consent

Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change or withdraw consent at any time via the “Cookie Preferences” link in our website footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Services work.

California residents: to the extent any advertising cookies constitute “sharing” of personal information under the CPRA, you may opt out via [“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link / Cookie Preferences].

6. Do Not Track

Because there is no consistent industry standard for Do Not Track (DNT) signals, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals (e.g., Global Privacy Control) for applicable jurisdictions.
