Platform & plans

What SegmentOS is and what each plan includes.

What is SegmentOS?

SegmentOS is a survey research platform for market research — a drag-and-drop builder with 17 question types, 17 research-grade templates (Van Westendorp pricing, conjoint, brand tracking, CSAT, and more), built-in quality controls, and a 30M+ respondent panel. You build the study; we handle the methodology and the respondents.

What's included in the free plan?

Up to 5 surveys, 500 responses per month, 4 research templates, standard question types, and basic analytics. Every quality control — attention checks, speeding detection, duplicate prevention — runs on the free plan too. No card required.

What's the difference between Premium and Pro?

Premium ($29/mo) unlocks unlimited surveys and responses, all 17 templates, every question type, multi-language, quotas, custom branding, and full CSV/XLSX export. Pro ($79/mo) adds the audience panel, white-label, API access, and priority support. If you only survey your own audience, Premium is enough. If you need respondents, you need Pro.

How does panel pricing work?

Panel responses are priced per response — from $0.73 for B2C. B2B pricing depends on your targeting criteria. You see the exact cost before you launch, and you pay only for responses that pass quality checks. No surprise invoices.

Who is SegmentOS for?

Brand teams running awareness and tracking studies, product teams testing concepts and pricing, CX and marketing teams measuring CSAT and ad effectiveness, HR teams running employee pulses, and agencies who need a white-label research tool for clients. If you've ever paid an agency $5,000+ for a study these templates run, you're the audience.

Do I need a demo or sales call to get started?

No. SegmentOS is fully self-serve — create an account, pick a template or build from scratch, and launch. The free plan exists so you can evaluate the platform by actually using it.

Surveys & templates

The builder, the template library, languages, and branding.

Where do your respondents come from?

Our panel of 30M+ respondents across 127 countries is sourced through vetted panel partners. Every member is double opt-in — they explicitly confirmed they want to take part in research — and passes our screening and quality checks before becoming eligible for studies.

Can I build a survey from scratch instead of a template?

Yes. The builder supports 17 question types — from single choice to matrix grids, ranking, Likert scales, and file upload — plus skip logic, section logic, answer piping, randomization, and a flow-chart view of your branching.

Can I run surveys in other languages?

27 languages, including right-to-left scripts. AI Translate All converts your entire survey in one click; you can fine-tune any question by hand. Respondents automatically see the survey in their browser language.

Can I use my own branding?

On Premium and Pro you can remove SegmentOS branding and apply your own logo, colors, and fonts. Pro adds full white-label — useful if you're an agency delivering research to clients.

How long does it take to launch a study?

From a template, under two minutes — the questions, screeners, and quality logic are already built. From scratch, as long as it takes you to write your questions. Either way there's no review queue: you publish, it's live.

Do surveys work on mobile?

Yes, with zero configuration. Every survey is fully responsive, and the builder previews your study in desktop, tablet, and mobile frames before you launch.

Panel & audience

Where respondents come from and how targeting works.

What templates are included?

17 templates across four categories: Brand (awareness, perception, tracking, diagnostic), Product (concept testing, product testing, Van Westendorp pricing, conjoint), Customer (CSAT, ad testing, UX feedback, loyalty, post-purchase, event, exit), and Employee (satisfaction, pulse). Each ships with industry-standard questions, screeners, attention checks, and disqualification logic already built in.

How do you target the right audience?

50+ demographic and firmographic filters — age, gender, location, income, industry, job seniority, and more. If your audience is more specific than existing profiles cover, screener questions qualify respondents before they enter your survey.

Can you reach niche or B2B audiences?

Yes. B2B respondents can be targeted by industry, role, and seniority, and are cross-verified against their professional profile — not just self-reported job titles. Niche, low-incidence audiences take longer to fill and cost more per response; you'll see that reflected in the price estimate before you launch.

What incentives do respondents receive?

Respondents are compensated for their time based on survey length and how hard their profile is to reach. Rewards vary by panel — cash, gift cards, points, or charitable donations. Invitations never reveal the survey's topic, so the incentive doesn't bias who responds.

Do I have to use the panel?

No. Share your survey by link or send email invitations to your own audience on any plan. The same quality controls run either way.

How quickly will my study fill?

Most panel studies deliver results within 48 hours. Niche, low-incidence audiences — narrow job titles, specific product usage — take longer, and you'll see that reflected in the estimate before you launch. Your dashboard tracks fill progress in real time.

Data quality

The short version — the full breakdown lives on the data quality page.

How do you ensure response quality?

Six layers run automatically on every study: attention checks, screener disqualification, speeding detection, device fingerprinting, logic-trap questions, and quota management. They're defaults, not add-ons. The full breakdown is on our data quality page.

What happens to responses that fail quality checks?

They never reach your results — not your charts, not your export. In panel studies we source more responses than your target and discard the ones that fail, so your final dataset is the clean sample you paid for.

How do you stop bots and duplicate responses?

AI-powered bot detection at the point of entry, plus device fingerprinting — canvas, WebGL, screen, timezone, and hardware signals — so the same person can't respond twice, even across incognito sessions or cleared cookies.

What incentives do respondents receive?

Tell us. If a panel response slipped through that doesn't meet our standard, we'll make it right.

Do quality controls run when I use my own audience?

Yes — every layer runs on every response regardless of where it comes from. The only difference: disqualified responses from your own audience aren't replaced (there's no pool to replace them from), they just don't count.

Are quality controls a paid feature?

No. Every control runs on every plan, including free. Quality is a default in SegmentOS, not an upsell — that's the whole point.

Privacy & compliance

How respondent and client data is handled.

How do you protect respondent privacy?

All responses are aggregated and anonymized — you never see a respondent's personally identifiable information. PII is encrypted, and respondents can only join the panel through a double opt-in process.

How is my survey data handled?

Your studies and results belong to you. Data is stored encrypted, protected by industry-standard security controls, and exportable at any time on paid plans. We don't sell or share your research data.

Are respondents told who is running the survey?

No — studies run blind by default. Respondents see your questions, not your company name, unless you choose to brand the survey. Blind fielding reduces sponsor bias in the answers.

Can I collect contact details in my surveys?

Tell us. If a panel response slipped through that doesn't meet our standard, we'll make it right.

How do respondents join the panel?

Through a mandatory double opt-in: they register and build a profile, then re-confirm by email that they want to participate in research. No second confirmation, no survey invitations. This filters out the accidental and the disengaged before they ever reach a study.

Is my research data used for anything else?

No. Your studies and results are used to deliver your research — not sold, not shared, not used to train models, not visible to other customers. Respondent data is used only to match people to studies they qualify for.
