Aceptable Uses Policy

Legal Compliance

You must use the Services in compliance with, and only as permitted by, applicable law. If we become aware of a violation of this Policy, we may, in our discretion, suspend or terminate your use of the Services, remove content, or report the matter to authorities.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for your Content, conduct, and communications. You must comply with the following:

•       (a) Do not interfere with the normal operation of the Services or access them other than through the interfaces we provide.

•       (b) Do not provide any minor (under 16, or a higher age where local law requires) with access to the Services.

•       (c) Do not circumvent account limits (e.g., creating a new account after suspension).

•       (d) Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any SegmentOS system.

•       (e) Do not store or transmit viruses, malware, or malicious code through the Services.

•       (f) Do not infringe others’ intellectual property rights.

•       (g) Do not resell or lease the Services unless authorized in writing.

•       (h) Do not engage in abusive or excessive usage that harms the stability or functionality of the Services for others.

•       (i) Do not host or transmit false, inaccurate, or intentionally deceptive information likely to cause public harm.

Surveys, Respondents & Data

•       Respondent consent & transparency. You are the controller of your response data and must provide any legally required notices and obtain any required consents from respondents.

•       No false anonymity. Do not claim a survey is anonymous when it is not.

•       Sensitive data. Do not collect special-category or sensitive data (e.g., health, biometric, precise geolocation, financial account, or data revealing protected characteristics) unless you have a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards. [CONFIRM whether to prohibit outright vs. permit with safeguards.]

•       No collection of panel identities. When using the audience panel, do not ask for or attempt to derive a panelist’s name, contact details, or identity, and do not attempt to re-identify respondents.

•       No deceptive screening. Do not use screeners, incentives, or attention checks to mislead or harm respondents.

Phishing & Security

We will suspend any use that:

•       Attempts to collect sensitive information such as government IDs, full payment-card numbers (other than through an authorized processor), or passwords.

•       Publishes a person’s identifying information without consent.

•       Is intended to deceive or mislead respondents, including by linking to malicious sites.

•       Promotes or recruits for pyramid schemes or other deceptive financial scams.

Privacy & Impersonation

•       You are responsible for complying with all applicable data-protection laws.

•       Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any individual or organization.

Prohibited Content

We have a zero-tolerance policy for harmful or abusive content. Do not use the Services to create or distribute content that:

•       Threatens violence — threatens or attacks others, or organizes or incites violence, harassment, or terrorism.

•       Constitutes hate speech — attacks or advocates exclusion of people based on ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected class.

•       Promotes self-harm — promotes, incites, or glorifies self-harm.

•       Is sexually explicit — pornography or graphic sexual material, especially any material that exploits or sexualizes minors (strictly prohibited and reported).

We recommend a conspicuous warning screen before any material that may be sensitive or offensive.

AI Features

•       Do not use AI translation or analysis to generate unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful content, or to process data you are not permitted to process.

•       Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or misuse the models or outputs underlying the AI features.

Intellectual Property

Respect others’ IP rights. You must have appropriate rights to any content (including third-party logos, brands, or images) you include in surveys.

To report a suspected violation, email hello@segmentos.io with the URL of the survey or content at issue. We will investigate promptly
