Aceptable Uses Policy
Legal Compliance
You must use our Services in compliance with, and only as permitted by, applicable law. If we become aware of a violation of this Acceptable Uses Policy, we may, in our sole discretion, suspend or terminate your use of the Services, remove content from your account, or report such violations to law enforcement authorities.
Capitalized words not defined here are defined in our Terms of Use or Governing Services Agreement.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for your Content, conduct, and communications while using the Services. You must comply with the following requirements:
(a) You may not misuse our Services by interfering with their normal operation or attempting to access them using a method other than the interfaces and instructions we provide.
(b) You may not provide any Minor (any individual under the age of 16, or a higher age in certain territories) with access to the Services.
(c) You may not circumvent any limitations SegmentOS imposes on your account (such as by opening a new account after being suspended for a policy violation).
(d) You may not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any SegmentOS system or network.
(e) You may not store or transmit any viruses, malware, or other malicious software through the Services.
(f) You may not use the Services to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
(g) You may not resell or lease the Services unless authorized by SegmentOS in writing.
(h) You may not engage in abusive or excessive usage of the Services, which is usage significantly in excess of average patterns that adversely affects the stability or functionality of the Services for other users.
(i) You may not host or transmit content that is or contains false, inaccurate, or intentionally deceptive information that is likely to cause harm to the public or adversely affect public interest.
Phishing and Security
We work hard to protect the security of all our users. We will suspend any use of the Services which comes to our attention that:
Attempts to collect sensitive information such as social security numbers, credit card numbers (other than for payment through an authorized processor), or passwords.
Publishes a person’s identifying information without their consent.
Is intended to deceive or mislead respondents, including by linking to websites with malicious software.
Promotes or recruits for pyramid schemes or other deceptive financial scams.
Privacy and Impersonation
Respondents provide information with the expectation that it will be handled respectfully. You are responsible for complying with all applicable data protection laws.
You may not claim that a poll is anonymous when it is not.
You may not impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with an individual or organization when using the Services.
Prohibited Content
We have a zero-tolerance policy for content that is harmful or abusive. You may not use our Services to create or distribute content that:
Threatens Violence: Directly or indirectly threatens or attacks others, or organizes or incites violence, harassment, or terrorism.
Constitutes Hate Speech: Attacks or advocates for the abuse or exclusion of people based on their ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected classes.
Promotes Self-Harm: Promotes, incites, or glorifies self-harm.
Is Sexually Explicit: Includes pornography or graphic sexual material, especially material that sexually exploits or promotes the sexual exploitation of minors.
We recommend adding a conspicuous warning screen before displaying any material that may be offensive in nature.
Intellectual Property Infringement
Respect the intellectual property rights of others. You must have the appropriate rights to use any content you include in your polls, including any third-party logos, brands, or images.
How to Report Policy Violations
If you suspect that someone's use of our Services is in violation of this policy, please contact us immediately by sending an email to hello@segmentos.io. Please include the URL of the poll or other content at issue, and we will investigate the matter promptly.
